Primary Care Medical Clinic

About Us

Practice Philosophy

Armstrong Wellness is a small family-centered practice that believes personalized care and relationship building are the basis for improving health outcomes. Patients can schedule appointments at a time that works for them. Same or next business day appointments are available. In the case of an urgent concern after hours, you can reach an On-Call provider by phone. When you come in, we listen. In order to keep our promise of excellent care, we limit the size of our practice.

Our Providers

Michelle A. Lane, MSN, FNP-BC

Born and raised in Salem, Michelle feels very fortunate to live and work in her hometown. Michelle received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Chemeketa Community College, her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and her Master of Science Degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Graceland University. She maintains her board certification from AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners) as a FNP.

Her healthcare experience includes many years as a Registered Nurse in critical care, long term care, and home health care. She has worked in primary family practice with patients of all ages since becoming a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

She enjoys working with people who are ready and willing to take an active role in their own health care, especially in terms of disease prevention. She believes strongly that medication is only one aspect of treatment and that the whole person needs to be addressed – which often means work for the patient. She believes that each person needs to be responsible and accountable for their health care and must take an active part in treatment. In addition to her role to assess and offer treatment, she sees her most important role as the patients guide, coach and educator. She works collaboratively with physician specialists, primary care physicians, naturopaths, acupuncturists, mental health professionals, and chiropractors.

She is an active member of:

     American Association of Nurse Practitioners

     Oregon Nurse Practitioners

When not at the clinic, she spends her time with her family. She is married with one grown daughter, a new grandson, and many pets. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, travel, and gardening.
